Sponsored Student Programs

The Office of International Services has a team dedicated to supporting the success of international sponsored students at Oregon State University. Sponsored Student Programs assists sponsoring organizations, sponsored students, and campus departments that host these students. We address sponsorship related needs in the areas of admissions, finances, immigration, and academics.

Who is a Sponsored Student?

A student with a scholarship from an outside organization, usually a home government, embassy, or company. A Third-Party Billing agreement is established between OSU and the sponsoring agency. Sponsors provide their grantees with a financial guarantee letter specifying what educational costs they will cover. OSU invoices sponsors directly for these costs.
