Sarah Reed Aumont has worked in International Programs since September 2011. She is responsible for maintaining university compliance with the Student Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) program. She provides essential services to prospective and current international students and their dependents to help them comply with immigration while in the United States. She manages immigration protocol and communication with government agencies, international student data systems, compliance and other immigration issues. She also leads the Operations and Data Compliance team. Sarah currently is serving in the Region 1 Chair Stream for NAFSA and was previously its conference planner, and also leads the yearly International Advising Summit.
Prior to working at OSU, Sarah worked as a student officer doing academic advising and database management in London, England, for over three years. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in sociology and anthropology from Eastern Oregon University. She also has a master’s degree in international travel and tourism management from Oxford Brookes University in Oxford, England. In her free time Sarah enjoys traveling, cooking, spending time with family and friends, and planning social events.
