Nan Xie works as an International Student Advisor / Designated School Official (DSO) in the Office of International Services (OIS). Her primary responsibilities are to provide immigration advising to prospective and current international students who study at OSU on F-1 and J-1 visa status. Nan also coordinates the International Cultural Service Program (ICSP) that supports international students in financial needs. Originally from China, Nan earned her degree in English during her studies in Nagoya, Japan. She speaks Mandarin and is fluent in English and Japanese. After being an international student for years herself, Nan wants to support other international students in their academic pursuits in the U.S. by helping them connecting with the available resources on or off-campus. Nan likes to go hiking with her husband and two little girls. She also enjoys watching movies, cooking, and traveling.
