Lisa Kosiewicz Doran joined the Office of International Services staff team as an International and Sponsored Student Advisor in April 2020. She has enjoyed working in the field of international education, and, specifically, in the area of international student & scholar services, for over 30 years and has served in both advisor and director positions at a variety of institutions, including: Colorado College, the University of San Francisco, the University of California-Berkeley, and the English Center for International Women at Mills College.
Lisa has been an active NAFSA: Association of International Educators member and has served in both regional and national leadership roles within NAFSA. She has also been a presenter at local, regional and national NAFSA conferences and has served as a member of the NAFSA Trainer Corps since 2006. Lisa holds a Master of Arts degree in International and Multicultural Education from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Mills College.
Outside of work, Lisa keeps busy by volunteering with a local organization, Salem for Refugees, as a member of the Mentor Team for a refugee family from South Sudan, and by serving as a member of the Tutor Training team for the Mid-Valley Literacy Center. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and four stepchildren and pursuing a variety of craft activities.
