Students

Jennifer is one of the International Student Advisors that assists international students with understanding how to maintain visa status while pursuing education at OSU. In a previous role at the Office of International Services, she supported immigration advising work, mentored student staff, assisted with office operations, and managed the front desk.  

Jennifer earned her Bachelor’s degree in Public Health at OSU and has many fond memories of being involved in campus groups and studying and living alongside international students. She has several years of front-line experience in busy medical settings. She is fascinated by intercultural communication, and motivated to provide compassionate service to students and other visitors to OIS. She hopes to help students feel welcomed and empowered with the knowledge to make informed choices regarding immigration regulations. She also wants to encourage students to access relevant resources outside of OIS when needed.

Jennifer has traveled to the Philippines four times, lived in Idaho for eight years, and enjoys being based in the Pacific Northwest. On the weekends, she enjoys mountain biking with her husband and young child, running, cooking traditional recipes, gardening, and making and viewing art.
